Anna June van Duijn
Anna June (1994) is een illustrator uit Leiden. Ze studeerde in 2017 af aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in de richting Illustratie. In datzelfde jaar richtte ze ROEM op, een stichting die zich inzet voor jonge lokale makers. Haar illustratiewerk gaat vaak over ‘hoe mensen doen’ en ‘mens versus natuur’. Ze werkt voor klanten zoals De Groene Amsterdammer, Trouw, Onze Taal, VPRO, Huisarts & Wetenschap, en NS.
Anna June (born 1994) is an illustrator from Leiden. She graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2017 in Illustration. In the same year, she founded ROEM, a foundation dedicated to young local creators. Her illustration work is often about 'how people do' and 'man versus nature'. ‘In de spiegel’ is een serie illustraties gebaseerd op de bevindingen van psycholoog Arthur Eaton voor de Groene Amsterdammer. Deze acht illustraties zijn een selectie uit een reeks over uiteenlopende onderwerpen zoals dromen, in een roes raken, hechting en vernedering. Niets is zo wonderlijk als de psyche van de mens, Anna June bracht dit in beeld.
